– ०६ लाख रूपयाचे बक्षिस शासनाने केले होते जाहीर

गडचिरोली, दि. २८ : सीआरपीएफ व गडचिरोली पोलिस दलासमोर नक्षल्यांच्या सप्लाय टिमचा उप-कमांडर जहाल नक्षली गणेश गट्टा पुनेम (वय ३५) रा. बेच्चापाल, तह. भैरमगड, जि. बिजापूर (छ.ग.) याने २८ मे रोजी आत्मसमर्पण केले. त्याच्यावर शासनातर्फे ०६ लाख रुपयांचे बक्षीस जाहीर होते.
शासनाने जाहीर केलेल्या आत्मसमर्पण योजनेमुळे तसेच हिंसाचाराच्या जीवनाला कंटाळून वरिष्ठ नक्षल्यांसह अनेक जहाल नक्षल्यांनी आजपर्यंत पोलीसांसमोर आत्मसमर्पण केलेले आहे. त्याचबरोबर आत्मसमर्पित नक्षल्यांचे पोलीस दलाने पुनर्वसन घडवून आणल्यामुळे आजपर्यंत एकुण ६६२ नक्षल्यांनी गडचिरोली पोलीस दलासमोर आत्मसमर्पण केले आहे. सीआरपीएफचे पोलीस उप-महानिरीक्षक जगदीश मीणा यांच्या समोर जहाल नक्षली गणेश गट्टा पुनेम याने आत्मसमर्पण केले त्यानंतर त्यांनी त्याचे हस्तांतरण गडचिरोली पोलीस दलाकडे केले.
जहाल आत्मसमर्पित नखली गणेश गट्टा पुनेम हा २०१७ मध्ये सप्लाय टिम (भैरमगड एरीया) दलममध्ये सदस्य पदावर भरती होऊन जानेवारी २०१८ पर्यंत कार्यरत होता त्यानंतर सप्लाय टिममध्ये उप-कमांडर पदावर बढती होऊन २०१८ पासुन आतापर्यंत सप्लाय टिम उप-कमांडर (भैरमगड एरीया) पदावर कार्यरत होता. त्याचा २०१७ मध्ये मिरतूर, जि. बिजापूर (छ.ग.) व २०२२ मध्ये तिम्मेनार जि. बिजापूर (छ.ग.) जंगल परिसरात झालेल्या चकमकीमध्ये सहभाग होता. महाराष्ट्र शासनाने त्याच्यावर ०६ लाख रूपयाचे बक्षीस जाहिर केले होते. आत्मसमर्पणानंतर पुनर्वसनाकरीता केंद्र व राज्य शासनाकडुन गणेश गट्टा पुनेम याला एकुण ५ लाख रुपये बक्षीस जाहिर केले आहे.
आत्मसमर्पण करण्याची कारणे
– नक्षली दलममध्ये अहोरात्र भटकंतीचे जीवन असून, स्वत:च्या आरोग्याविषयी समस्या उद्भवल्यास त्याकडे काळजीपुर्वक लक्ष दिल्या जात नाही. दलममधील वरिष्ठ कॅडरचे नक्षली सांगतात की, चळवळीकरीता/जनतेकरीता पैसे गोळा करावे लागतात. प्रत्यक्षात गोळा केलेला पैसा ते स्वत:साठीच वापरतात. जनतेच्या विकासासाठी कधीच वापरले जात नाही.
– वरीष्ठ नक्षली नेते फक्त स्वत:च्या फायद्यासाठी गरीब आदिवासी युवक-युवतींचा वापर करून घेतात.
– दलममध्ये असतांना विवाह झाले तरीही वैवाहीक स्वतंत्र आयुष्य जगता येत नाही.
– गडचिरोली पोलीस दलाच्या आक्रमक नक्षल विरोधी अभियानामुळे नक्षली कारवायांचे कंबरडे मोडले आहे.
– वरीष्ठ नक्षली नेते पोलीस खबरी असल्याच्या संशयावरून आमच्याच निष्पाप बांधवांना ठार मारायला सांगतात.
गडचिरोली पोलीस दलाने अतिशय प्रभावीपणे माओवादविरोधी अभियान राबविल्यामुळे तसेच शासनाने नक्षल्यांना आत्मसमर्पणाची सुवर्णसंधी उपलब्ध करून दिल्याने, सन्मानाने जीवन जगण्यासाठी २०२२ ते २०२४ सालामध्ये आतापर्यंत एकुण १४ जहाल नक्षल्यांनी आत्मसमर्पण केले आहे. सदर नक्षल्यांचे आत्मसमर्पण घडवून मुख्यप्रवाहात आणण्याबाबतची कारवाई सी.आर.पी.एफ. चे पोलीस उप-महानिरीक्षक (अभियान) जगदीश मीणा व गडचिरोली जिल्ह्राचे पोलीस अधीक्षक नीलोत्पल यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली उप-कमांडण्ट सीआरपीएफ नितिन कुमार यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली आर.एफ.टी (रेंज फिल्ड टीम) च्या इंट सेल पथकाकडून करण्यात आली. यावेळी पोलीस अधीक्षक गडचिरोली नीलोत्पल यांनी आवाहन केले की, विकासकामांना आडकाठी निर्माण करणाऱ्या नक्षल्यांवर पोलीस दल सक्षमपणे कारवाई करण्यास तत्पर असुन, जे नक्षली विकासाच्या प्रवाहात सामील होण्यास ईच्छुक असतील त्यांना विकासाच्या मुख्य प्रवाहात आणण्यासाठी तसेच लोकशाहीतील सन्मानाचे जीवन जगण्यासाठी गडचिरोली पोलीस दल सर्वतोपरी मदत करेल, तसेच त्यांनी हिंसेचा त्याग करुन शांततेचा मार्ग स्विकारावा.

Hardcore Maoist surrenders before Gadchiroli Police and CRPF
– He carried a total reward of Rs. 06 Lakh on himself.
Gadchiroli : Disillusioned by the hollow claims of Maoism and frustrated by their mindless violence against civilians, a large number of members of the banned CPI (Maoist) are attracted to the Surrender cum Rehabilitation Policy implemented by the Government of Maharashtra. Thanks to the effective implementation of this Policy, a total of 662 active Maoists till date have surrendered before the Gadchiroli Police. Today on 28/05/2024 one hardcore Maoist viz. Ganesh Gatta Punem, ( Aged 35 ) , resident of Bechhapal, Taluka Bhairamgadh, Dist. Bijapur (CG), surrendered before Jagdish Meena, Dy. Inspector General of Police (Ops.), CRPF. After his surrender, he was transferred to the Gadchiroli Police.

1. Name: Ganesh Gatta Punem
Tenure in Maoist Organization:
1) Recruited as a member of supply team with Bhairamgadh LOS in 2017 and worked until 2018.
2) Promoted to Dy. Commander in Supply team in 2018 and worked until now.
– Encounters – 02
-In 2017, he was involved in an encounter in the forest area of Mirtur, Bijapur (CG).
– In 2022, he was involved in an encounter in the forest area of Timmenar, Bijapur (CG).
-Reasons for Ganesh’s surrender:
– Lack of medical facility in case of illness.
– Senior Maoists direct to collect money for the development, but they actually use that money for themselves. It is never used for people’s development.
– Senior Maoists use the poor tribal youths for their own benefit.
– Married Party members cannot live an independent married life.
– Aggressive Anti-Naxal operations of Gadchiroli Police, has broken the back of Maoist activities.
– Senior cadres force to kill innocent tribal’s only on suspicion of being police informer.
– Reward on his arrest / encounter:
– Maharashtra Government had declared a reward of Rs. 06 lakhs.
– Reward on his surrender:
After surrender, Ganesh Gatta Punem will receive Rs. 05 Lakhs as a reward declared by the Central & Maharashtra Governments for rehabilitation.
Due to the intensified anti-Maoist operations conducted by Gadchiroli police and the golden opportunity provided by the Government of Maharashtra for Maoists to surrender and lead a respectful life, 14 hardcore Maoists have surrendered before the Gadchiroli police from the year 2022 to the year 2024. The surrender of the said Maoist was facilitated by Int Cell of Range Field Team, CRPF Gadchiroli under Nitin Kumar, Dy. Commandant CRPF. This action was carried out under the guidance of Dy. Inspector General of Police (Ops.) CRPF Jagdish Meena and Supdt. Of Police, Gadchiroli Neelotpal. Gadchiroli Sp Neelotpal assured that all necessary assistance would be provided to those willing to surrender and join the mainstream society, embracing the ways of democracy. Furthermore, he appealed to active Maoists to renounce the path of violence and adopt the path of peace.
